JUST A THOUGHT...
Last night, October 15th, on their way home from state, a Chippawa Falls band bus was hit by a semi.
5 of their students were killed in their crash. Let's just keep in mind that last night was disappointing for us, in
that we only got second place. Lets not dwell on that too long and remember that some other bands have a little bit
more on their minds right now than who won what captions. Maybe we should too...
MESSAGE TO THE UNDERCLASSMEN
You guys (and girls) have been awesome this season. I think that overall, this year was far and away the greatest
years we have been a part of in our 4 years at North. While we (the seniors) will all move on to different colleges,
this season will stand out in our minds as one of the best, most memorable years of marching band ever. To that, we
thank you. Just remember these 3 things in your future years.
-always respect the seniors... they've been there, and accomplished things that you have not been a part of. as
matt dougherty would say, they know the score.
-FIDS (Form Interval Dress Spot). remember trhis and you'll win visual every year.
-keep the love in the section. we know that sometimes things get a little hectic, but remember that it is all worth
it in the end. try your best not to duke it out in verbal or physical fisticuffs.
-for those about to rock, WE salute you

If we could do any theme for next year's field show, what should it be and why?
-the mexican hat dance... naked
-the northstar scouts (i.e. jacking the '95 & '96 madison scouts shows) because its just
awesome, and there's no woodwinds (courtesy of john slowik)
-something that dooesn't have to with jazz in any way and consists of more than just blocks
because if ur so good you should be able to do other things (Kristin Hausen... are you a west cadet???)
-something with Whitesnake because they're h-core like that
What is the best part of band and why?
-seeing zimmerman without his shirt on... whooo, damn, he sexy...
-so far band camp was awesome cuz i got to know people better ( and when i beat up people thats always a
blast!) hehehe

-the last day of band camp, it signifies the end of the hardest part and the beginning of the "most awesome"
-the excessive sex and drug/alcohol use
